Sally Davis of Sandisfield came along just in time to catch a photo of this venerable old tree after it had fallen across Rt. 8 in New Boston Village on a sunny October 8. It was right at the Farmington River General Store. The highway was closed, but it wasn't long before folks showed up with chainsaws and dragged the tree off the road. Sally posted her photo on ConnectSandisfield/Facebook the same day.
